The first meeting devoted to Culture in the history of the G20 was held on 29-30 July in Rome and led to the unanimous adoption of the “Rome Declaration of the G20 Culture Ministers”, a 32-point document which inserts the cultural sector within the G20 process, also recognizing its economic value. Calls for following actions like the urge for Governments to see culture and creativity as an integral part of wider policy or the demand for cultural institutions to make continuous progress in the areas of accessibility were included in the Decleration
