About Us:
1. What is Agora?
Culture Agora, hereinafter "Agora", is a free-access platform, free for the user, serving a double purpose:
- facilitate the visibility professional content related to culture, and in more general terms, to cultural and creative industries: training, financing, employment opportunities, as well as partnership search and crowfunding.
- contribute to the maximum dissemination of audio-visual content (streaming and video) already hosted in other websites which can be of interest for cultural industries professionals and for a larger public interested in culture and the arts, with a particular focus on the streaming of events and face-to-face meetings.
The contents published in Agora, with few exceptions, have their origins in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean
2. Our goal
Agora is a participatory tool with wiki structure, which aims to simplify, benchmark and highlight in a single digital platform a wide range of cultural content which is now currently scattered in the network, providing the maximum dissemination capacity to its promoters, and facilitating the search to interested users through simple filtering mechanisms.
In Agora everyone has the same opportunities to become known: the symposium or the training offered by a venerable institution in a big city, or a meeting or job offered by a small and dynamic cultural organization.
3. Which type of contents and formats are published?
In Agora you can find content related to the arts and to creative industries, and the basic information allowing a user to find it and to access the promoter’s website containing all the necessary details.
Agora’s content may fit in one of these six categories:
- Events or meetings of short duration (congress, workshop, conference, festival)
- Training and education of any kind (postgraduate, master, specialization course, online courses)
- Awards and Grants (from a public or private origin)
- Job offers (paid or unpaid, permanent or seasonal)
- Partnerships and crowd funding searches
- News and Documents
